Week of November 17 - 21, 2014

Monday, November 17
Beginning Drawing:Students are working on the perspective City Block Assignment using graphite to shade. Completed drawings are due on today.
Portfolio Prep:Wrapped animal portraits. Students are to completed animal background using sharpie marker. Bandages are shaded, mouth & eyes done in colored pencil. Completed drawings are due on today.
Foundations of Art:Introduction to clay. Class demo.
Introduction to Art:Elements packet - students are completing color, color scheme, value, texture & space sections.
Sculpture:Palissy & Weber inspired environmental sculpture.
Beginning Photography:Depth of Field assignment. Print and mount 3 examples of each - shallow & great depth of field.

Tuesday, November 18
Beginning Drawing:Class Critique.
Portfolio Prep:Class Critique.
Foundations of Art:Complete Mandala design & mount to black background.
Introduction to Art:Introduction to Space and Form. Space Exercise, Form Exercise (Model Magic).
Sculpture:Palissy & Weber inspired environmental sculpture.
Beginning Photography:Depth of Field assignment. Print and mount 3 examples of each - shallow & great depth of field.

Wednsday, November 19
Beginning Drawing:Students are working on corrections to their Perspective City Blocks, per result of the critique.
Portfolio Prep:Students are working on corrections to their Wrapped Animals, per result of the critique.
Foundations of Art:Students create mythological creature bodies in clay.
Introduction to Art:PowerPoint on Quilling - Bridgit Gesner. Practice project.
Sculpture:Palissy & Weber inspired environmental sculpture.
Beginning Photography:Depth of Field assignment. Print and mount 3 examples of each - shallow & great depth of field.

Thursday, November 20
Beginning Drawing:Introduction to Multiple Vanishing Point Perspective. Students are working on a worksheet, finding the vantage points, a horizon line must be drawn in to meet all points.
Portfolio Prep:Students are working on corrections to their Wrapped Animals, per result of the critique.
Foundations of Art:Students create mythological creature bodies in clay.
Introduction to Art:Practice Quilling assignment.
Sculpture:Palissy & Weber inspired environmental sculpture.
Beginning Photography:Depth of Field assignment. Print and mount 3 examples of each - shallow & great depth of field.

Friday, November 21
Beginning Drawing: Students are working on a worksheet, finding the vantage points, a horizon line must be drawn in to meet all points. As students finish with worksheet, they are to begin a drawing of a stack of books using one and two point perspective with multiple vanishing points. 12x18" paper is used.
Portfolio Prep:Students will set up a display in the main lobby compiled of their completed Wrapped Animal Drawings.
Foundations of Art:Students create mythological creature bodies in clay.
Introduction to Art: Practice Quilling assignment.
Sculpture:Palissy & Weber inspired environmental sculpture.
