Monday, October 26:
Pottery: Continue to work on tea pots. The addition of clay to the pot, resulting in a relief is added this week.
Portfolio Prep: Checking sketchbooks. Layout should be chosen and drawn to scale - 8x10 or 9x10 rectangle. Handouts must be turned in by the end of the period.
8th Grade: Continue to cut out shapes from oak tag. Using the sketch as a guide, begin to glue shapes onto mat board.
Photography: Critque on photograms. Hand out project worksheet for Assignment #2 and review.

Tuesday, October 27:
Pottery: Continue to work on tea pots. The addition of clay to the pot is added this week.
Portfolio Prep: Continue to work on painting layout. Use graph paper to transfer lines using grid.
8th Grade: Continue to glue shapes to oaktag, leaving 1/4" between shapes.
Photography: Continue working on Assignment #2

Wednesday, October 28:
Pottery: Continue to work on clay pots.
Portfolio Prep: Transfer drawing to painting canvas according to grid measurements.
8th Grade: Complete glueing. Paint mat board and oak tag with white acrylic paint.

Thursday: October 22
Portfolio Prep: Look again at the chosen artist - use his sense of interpreting the shapes and angle of the room to the simplest lines and shapes. Enlarge the idea to a rectangle of the same proportion.

Photography: Continue work on photograms
8th Grade: Continue to transfer drawings. Cut figures out and then cut each figure into many shapes.

Friday: October 23
Portfolio Prep: Create a value pattern for the design using at least 4 values. Select a color scheme from these 4: Complimentary Pairs, Double Complimentary Pair, Split Complimentary, Analogous
Pottery: Continue work on teapots
Photography: Continue work on photograms - photograms will be due at the end of class
8th Grade: Continue to cut figures into shapes. Glue the separate shapes onto the heavy mat board. Shapes can overlap.
