Monday January 25, 2010
Portfolio Prep: Select a theme for the collage. Students need also to select a few photos that are about the theme. Photos must be clear, high contrast and large enough to photocopy.
Advanced Pottery: Continue to draw mask in sketchbook - using the Internet, handouts and magazine pictures as references
Advanced Photography: Continue work on Light Assignment.
8th Grade: Begin cutting out letters of names using no pencils - just cutting with the scissors. After letters are cut out, start to create objects.


Tuesday January 26, 2010
Portfolio Prep: Create a rough draft of the painting. Create a clear focus. Select a limited color scheme that illustrates the theme. For instance: if this has something to do with a dark or sad issue, use dark or muted color.
Advanced Pottery: Create hump with newspaper. Roll and drape slap over mold. Cut and begin additive and subtractive sculpture.
Advanced Photography: Continue work on Light Assignment.
8th Grade: Continue work on cutting out and assembling descriptive objects.
